The per capita Electricity Consumption of Nepal is significantly lower in comparison to US 13,426 KWH, World 2,977 KWH, China 2,944 KWH, India 1,010 KWH and Nepal's is less than 200 KWH, which mean the energy demand is yet to grown and helps us to realize the opportunity stands in front of us in the hydroelectric (energy) sector. We believe that this is the golden era of opportunity for Nepal and when backed by the development programs supported by the government, we are on the cusp of an economic growth revolution that will of larger scale in the years to come. One could choose to remain a skeptic or one could choose to embrace the optimism and opportunity as a team.

On the 12th and 29th of Baisakh, following the major earthquake, Khimti-2 Hydropower Project-affected schools in Dolakha and Ramechhap — including Rasnalu VDC, Jiri Municipality, and Hawa VDC — were assisted. On 25th Ashad, a program was held at Jiri Bazaar, during which 80 bundles (800 sheets) of corrugated iron sheets were distributed.
According to the decision of the Board of Directors of Peoples Hydro Cooperative Ltd., a 5-member Earthquake Relief Committee led by Engineer Mahendra B. Karki conducted field monitoring and needs assessment from 22nd to 24th of Jestha 2072.
On 25th Ashad 2072, under the leadership of the cooperative’s Vice-Chairman Mr. Deb B. Paudel, board members Mr. Som Prakash Prasai, Mr. Arjun Karki, and Engineer Krishna B. Kumal participated in a meeting with representatives of the concerned schools at Jiri Bazaar, Jiri Municipality, where corrugated sheets and transportation costs were distributed.
